Everything You Need to Know
BGL Singles is a national league for club golfers with a Golf Australia handicap. You keep playing your normal club comp, submit the cards in the app, and every card counts on a monthly ladder of ten and on the Barnbougle ladder.
Yes, an official Golf Australia handicap, any handicap, and you're grouped with ten players off a similar one.
Any official club competition round recorded with Golf Australia counts, at any club on any day, and social rounds don't.
Yes, you can join in any month, and you're on a monthly ladder from your first card.
Two comp rounds a month is enough, because only your best two each month count on your monthly ladder. Over six months only your best ten count on the Barnbougle ladder, and you can play and submit as much as you like.
Every month you're put in a new group of ten off a similar handicap and your best two rounds that month decide the ladder. The winner takes the month's prize, a golf experience, equipment, a lesson or a voucher, and everyone is re-sorted the next month.
Every player in the league is on it and your best ten rounds over the six months decide where you finish. Every six months the winner packs their bags for Barnbougle with a mate and the ladder starts again.
Every card you submit is checked against your Golf Australia record.
$20 a month covers your entry, the app, partner discount codes and every prize. You still need to cover your own green fees.
Top your monthly ladder and you win the month's prize, a golf experience, equipment, a lesson or a voucher. Top the Barnbougle ladder and you and a mate go to Barnbougle for three nights with flights, accommodation, transfers, green fees, food and drinks covered. Random prize drops go out every month on top of both.
Yes, every player gets a referral code, and when a mate joins on it and makes their second payment you get a free month, up to six a year. Six mates is a whole season for nothing.
Yes, Ambrose is our two-person team league, and the two are separate competitions with separate entries.
