This policy covers the BGL app (app.thebgl.com.au and the BGL mobile apps) and thebgl.com.au, run by Battler Golf League Pty Ltd. We handle your information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

• Your name, email, phone number and postcode when you register a team
• Your GolfLink number and handicap so we can run fair matches
• Match scores, results, votes and messages you send in match chat
• Photos you choose to upload, like your avatar and match selfies
• A device token if you turn on push notifications in the mobile app
• Order details when you buy through our store, handled by Shopify

What we use it for

Running the league. Fixtures, live scoring, standings, sorting out disputes, and letting you know about your matches by email or push notification. We also use aggregated, de-identified information to improve the app.

What we never do

We never sell your personal information. We only share it with the services that run the BGL, like our database and hosting providers (Supabase and Vercel), push notifications (Google Firebase), email (Resend) and payments (Shopify). Some of these providers store data outside Australia.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your details while you're part of the league. You can ask us to delete your account from the Profile page in the app, or by emailing us, and we'll anonymise your personal details within 30 days. Match results stay on the league record without your name attached.
